Right Now, Pink and Paper Design Team Post

I am so very excited to share with you my first layout as a creative team member, on Pink and Paper’s blog. To created this page I used the adorable Carousel Collection from Crate Paper – Maggie Holmes.  I adore the fresh, vivid colors and happy figures of this collection! First I made a messy painted, blue background on a transparent sheet and I glued it down on „Uplifting „ 12×12 paper from the collection, then I placed my photo. After I found the place to my title, I started to embellish my layout using the Chipboard Stickers and Ephemera Die Cuts from the same collection. (Yes! The striped buttons are from the Ephemera Pack too!) To balance my page I added some black and white strips on the top of my layout. As a final touch, for a little eye catching detail I have used almost all of the stars from Carousel collection. Love, P.J.

de•fi•ance, part 1.

(dɪˈfaɪ əns) n. 1. a bold resistance to authority or to any opposing force. 2. a challenge, as to meet in combat. Idioms: in defiance of, despite; notwithstanding. [1250–1300; Middle English < Old French, =defi(er) to defy + -ance -ance] Random House Kernerman Webster’s College Dictionary, © 2010 K Dictionaries Ltd. Copyright 2005, 1997, 1991 by Random House, Inc. All rights reserved.   I love this definition, because for me defiance is much more than a bold resistance to authority. If only it were that simple … I made two “defiance” layout for my children. Here I show you  the one I cteated for my son. My daughter’s layout will be a little surpise, my international debute as a guest designer. Yuppppiiiiiieeeeee! I’m so Excited! This layout was inspired by Lauren’s mood board. Jot Magazine.   Love, P.J.
